The South Plains EMS RRAMS Team is a group of volunteers whose primary purpose is to provide disaster support to the 22 counties surrounding Lubbock, Texas.  The Team provides manpower, equipment, and organizational support.  We also provide training in disaster operations and assist with Mass Casualty Incident drills.  Members of the Team include all levels of EMS certification, first aid certification, nurses, doctors, law enforcement, and fire fighters.  Membership for disaster response is open to anyone interested in disaster mitigation. Go to the membership page to apply.

The RRAMS Team also provides medical support for special events.  These include Texas Tech football; concerts and other events at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center (LMCC), Lubbock Municipal Auditorium (LMA), Lubbock Municipal Coliseum (LMC), and the United Spirit Arena (USA); and can be requested for any other need.  For outside events the Team has a trailer that has been set up as a mobile treatment unit.  When these events are done we establish a command structure like a mass casualty incident.  This allows us to practice and become more familiar with the command structure.  This aspect of RRAMS is open to certified and licensed personnel.
